About Us

Hello, we are Kristen and Doug Overdorf and we are the proud owners of Heavenly Paws Pet Funeral Home and Crematory. Kristen graduated from Millville High School in 2008, Lycoming College in 2012, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Northampton Community College Mortuary Science Program in 2013. Doug graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1998 and has worked locally in our community ever since. Kristen has been a licensed funeral director since 2014 in the Williamsport area, while Doug worked parttime as support staff and crematory operator. We are the parents of Benjamin and Journey Overdorf, and two French bulldogs, Camo and Meadow.

We opened Heavenly Paws after the loss of our beloved cat, Tigger. Through our grief and healing, we recognized that there is a lack of resources surrounding the loss of a pet. After years in the death care industry, we understand how important it is to properly say goodbye to every member of your family. Not all pets and pet parent's relationships are the same and no pet death should be handled in the same manner. We understand they are more than just a pet. We want to hear about the lifetime of memories shared and that is why we are small family owned and operated funeral home to work one-on-one with families to help tell your pet's story. We feel that bringing our professional and personal experience with loss would offer grieving family's comfort in knowing that your pet is being treated with the same concern and care that you gave your pet during its life.
