Oscar, beloved cat of the Hess family, passed away peacefully on, December 1, 2023 in the comfort of their arms.

He was born in 2005 at a feed mill. He was the runt of the litter and abandoned by his mom. The Hess family brought him into their lives and he lived a wonderful 18 years.

The Hess family fell in love with Oscar and he became a big part of the family. During his 18 years of life, he watched the Hess family build a home and raise two wonderful daughters. Oscar was an indoor and outdoor cat that had a sense for adventure, but with each adventure came even more naps. He loved to spend the day out exploring, but enjoyed spending the evenings inside with his family. Coming home from work or school in the afternoons will never be the same without him always there to meet the family. His little paw prints will be missed on the hood of a car with an open window that he would hop into and curl up on a seat. Most of all Oscar will be missed for his warm snuggles, purrs, loving head rubs on your leg, and his tiny tongue licking your hand.

Surviving are Oscar’s pet parents Jeremy and Lynn Hess; his pet sisters Madisyn and Evangeline Hess; and canine sister, Gerty. Oscar is now reunited with his late canine brother, Rusty.

Oscar will always be in our hearts and never forgotten for all the love and happiness he brought into the Hess family lives.
